LED light treatment has undergone rigorous testing and is now an old favourite in the beauty industry. The LED light is primarily used on the face, but can be used on the entire body. LED light does not contain the harmful ultraviolet rays that we know from the sun, and it does not burn the skin like laser treatment does. The red, blue and yellow LED light is currently used differently in treatments depending on the skin challenge.

The red light acts on the skin's surface where it penetrates and stimulates collagen production and circulation in the skin and reduces inflammation. The red light gives the skin more plumpness and an overall fresher appearance.

The blue light works in the skin's sebaceous glands, where it reduces the skin's oil production, which is why many people experience fewer breakouts after using LED lights. The blue light can also kill the bacteria that cause acne in the skin, which is why LED light also works against pimples that are yellow in colour. Blue and red light are often used together for anti-inflammatory and acne relief.

The yellow light Reduces age spots, hyperpigmentation and sun spots. Increases skin hydration and overall skin health. Your skin looks healthier and radiant. Also reduces redness by increasing the skin's blood flow.

Who doesn't know tired eye areas?

Light therapy and anti-ageing treatment:

Since 2019, we have been working intensively and diversely with our small light pen, which with its pointed head can target its treatment close to the eye area without affecting or damaging the eye itself. Our results have shown that if you use the light pen once a day, and at least 3-4 times a week, you can prevent, repair and significantly improve your eye area. You will see the first results after just 14 days.

BLUE LIGHT: Tightens and stimulates collagen for more elastic skin.

RED LIGHT: Deeply massages, increases absorption of moisturisers and improves blood circulation.

Lyspen is always used with eye gel:

  • Clean off your make-up.
  • Treat one eye at a time.
  • Apply the gel. Apply eye gel by dabbing from the corner of the eye to the smile lines, using your ring finger.
  • Always start with the blue light. You move the light pen back and forth, from the corner of the eye to the smile lines. You never treat eyelids. Work at a slow pace, back and forth.
  • You can use the light pen circularly around smile lines, using only the blue light.
  • You can lift brows by following the lower edge of the eyebrow while lifting it up slightly with the eyeliner.
  • After half a minute, switch to red light.
  • Red light is processed in one direction, from the corner of the eye outwards. So never move the light pen back and forth.
  • It is still possible to raise the eyebrow, as with blue light. As long as it is done from the corner of the eye upwards.
  • Red light treatment will take approximately 20-30 seconds or until the eye gel is fully absorbed into the skin.

Dry skin on the face

Dry skin can occur for many different reasons. One of the most common causes of dry skin on the face is a dry indoor climate. Especially in winter, when humidity levels are low, skin can quickly become dry. The cold air outside and the dry heat inside can combine to create a situation where the skin loses its natural moisture. Age also plays a significant role. Older people often have drier skin, as the skin's ability to retain moisture decreases with age. This is because the skin's production of natural oils decreases with age, making it more prone to becoming dry and flaky. Winter, with its cold and dry climate, can exacerbate dry skin, making it even more important to take the right precautions.

Symptoms of dry skin

Dry skin on the face can manifest itself through a number of symptoms. One of the most visible symptoms is flaky skin. When skin is very dry, it can start to peel, which can be both irritating and cosmetically bothersome. The skin is often itchy and the itching can lead to further irritation. This can be exacerbated by factors such as certain plastics or perfumed products that can irritate the skin. Allergic reaction to these products can further aggravate the condition.

Another consequence of dry skin is blemished skin. When skin is dry, it can overproduce oil in an attempt to compensate for the loss of moisture. This can lead to clogged pores and breakouts. Dry skin can also irritate the skin, which can make it red and sensitive.

Choosing skincare products

When it comes to skincare products, it's important to choose products that are gentle on the skin. High-fat moisturisers are often the best for very dry skin as they help seal moisture into the skin.

Avoid products that contain perfume or other potentially irritating substances. These can aggravate dry skin and cause allergic reactions that lead to itching and irritation.
